Strathfield
Overview
We coordinate across Strathfield, Burwood, Homebush, Homebush West, Croydon, Ashfield and Concord.
What we see
Strathfield sits at the centre of one of Sydney’s most concentrated Nepali and Korean communities, with large Indian and Chinese communities around it. We coordinate in Nepali and Hindi as well as English, which is uncommon enough that families travel to find it.
The pattern we see most in this corridor is the plan that was approved and then explained to no one. The letter arrives, the funding sits, and a year later the underspend is read at reassessment as proof the person needed less. For families working in a second language, that cycle is faster and harsher. Breaking it means someone explaining the plan properly at the start and watching the budget month by month, which is the job.
Local knowledge
This area falls within the corridor where NDIS access and planning is delivered through local area coordination partners, and we work alongside that system daily. We know what a LAC can and cannot do, where coordination picks up from them, and how to keep the two from duplicating or dropping things between them.
Concord Hospital and the inner west health services are common referral points, and post-discharge weeks get priority.
In Strathfield we provide support coordination, specialist support coordination and psychosocial recovery coaching.
Working with Vitalya
We never coordinate and deliver direct supports for the same participant. No conflicts of interest, ever. We work with plan-managed and self-managed participants. Coordination is available in English, Hindi and Nepali. All NDIS supports are GST-free under section 38-38 of the GST Act.
No. VII. The next step.
Same business day response on every referral. Plan managed and self managed welcome across Sydney. The form takes three minutes.
Acknowledgement of Country.
Vitalya operates on the lands of the Garigal people of the Eora Nation. We acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of Country throughout Australia and recognise their continuing connection to land, waters, and community. We pay our respects to Elders past and present, and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people who engage with our practice.
