NDIS Support Coordination in Fairfield

We coordinate across Fairfield, Cabramatta, Canley Vale, Canley Heights, Smithfield, Wetherill Park, Villawood and Bonnyrigg.

Fairfield has one of the largest refugee-background communities in Australia, and that shapes what NDIS coordination has to do here. Many of the people we work with have been through systems that gave them good reason to be careful with officials, paperwork and questions about their worst days. The NDIS asks for exactly those things, repeatedly.

Trauma changes how a person presents at an assessment, and it changes what the paperwork shows. A person can under-describe their difficulties to a stranger and end up with a plan that funds half of what they need. Building the real picture, carefully and at the person’s pace, is slow work, and it is the work.

Fairfield Hospital and the surrounding community health services are a common starting point for referrals in this area, and several refugee and multicultural services operate locally. We work alongside them rather than around them.

We coordinate in English, Hindi and Nepali, and we work with interpreters for other languages routinely, including arranging them so families do not have to.

In Fairfield we provide support coordination, specialist support coordination and psychosocial recovery coaching.

We never coordinate and deliver direct supports for the same participant. No conflicts of interest, ever. We work with plan-managed and self-managed participants. Coordination is available in English, Hindi and Nepali. All NDIS supports are GST-free under section 38-38 of the GST Act.
